The CombiFeeder with two troughs is a mineral feeder for free-choice supplementation during grazing. The cover, which the animals lift with their heads when they eat from it, protects the mineral feed from rain and dung. It can be used for e.g. cattle and sheep, including heavy beef cattle with horns.
The feeder is built around a wooden post that has several functions. The post stabilizes the feeder and, in conjunction with other design details, makes it virtually impossible for the animals to tip the feeder around so that the contents are spilled. If there is a need for it, for example if the feeder is to be placed on very sloping ground, holes can be drilled at each end of the post and earth spikes placed to anchor the feeder. The post also functions as a sled, so that you can easily move the feeder to another grazing area by pulling it by a rope or similar that is fixed in the hole at one end of the post.
The troughs are specially designed to provide good support for / fixation of round and square buckets with molasses minerals or other feed supplements, and they can of course also be used for other feed and feed supplements, such as dry and loose mineral feeds, roughage, etc.
When designing the mineral feeder, climate and environment were taken into account. It is delivered in six parts to be transported as compactly as possible. Delivery takes place in reusable hessian bags, and the assembly kits are also delivered in a small hessian bag.
The CombiFeeder is a versatile feed trough that can also be configured and used in different ways.
The troughs can be used outdoors, for example as feed troughs for horses or other animals. Due to the design, they stand firmly on the field. The troughs can also be used indoors, where they can be hung on a wall in the box or stable in the 4 points prepared for this.
For outdoor use, it is possible to use a version with a cover and suspension, so that the troughs can be placed on, for example, a fence gate.
The troughs are provided with "handles" to facilitate their handling.
